Two platforms: Signature and Cloud
On 12 January 2026 Club Prophet announced a two-platform strategy. Signature is the new name for its legacy golf management platform, and the company says it is moving its whole customer base onto an enhanced version of it. Cloud is a second platform brought into the Club Prophet family, which the same post describes as already in use at hundreds of courses (Club Prophet blog, 12 January 2026).
Club Prophet describes Signature as an on-premise, fully customizable solution (Club Prophet Signature). Cloud is its cloud-based platform, and its FAQ says pricing varies with course size and feature needs (Club Prophet Cloud).
The January post gives no timeline for moving from one platform to the other and no end-of-support date for either. If your course runs Signature, those are the first two questions to put to your account manager, in writing.
The September 2026 release moved the iPad app to the Club Prophet Signature name, added Club Prophet Assistant to the toolbar, and added a SpeakSport.ai tee sheet integration and support for cloud-based card terminals (Club Prophet 2026 Q3 release notes).
The June 2026 minimum requirements
Club Prophet's release notes of 24 June 2026 list three new minimums: SQL 2019, 64-bit Windows 11, and iOS 26 or later on iPhones and iPads. The CPS Air iPad app and the CP Stock app both need iOS 26 (Club Prophet 2026 Q2 release notes).
For a course on Signature, that is a hardware question before it is a software one. Check the SQL Server version on the back-office server, the Windows version on every till and office PC, and whether each iPad in the shop can run iOS 26. A machine that cannot is a replacement to budget for.
Links Meridian runs in a web browser. The F&B POS runs in any phone or tablet browser, card readers at the till take chip, contactless and tap, receipt printers and cash drawers are standard ESC/POS hardware, and barcode scanners work at the pro shop till.
What Club Prophet has said about its size
In December 2024, the GolfNow partnership announcement put the number of courses using Club Prophet software at nearly 1,700 (Golf Business News, 3 December 2024). The NGF's profile of the company gives over 1,700 golf facilities across 16 countries (NGF).
In December 2025, the Supreme Golf partnership announcement put it at nearly 1,400 courses (The First Call, 10 December 2025). Club Prophet's Signature page, checked in October 2026, says Signature is installed in more than 1,400 courses worldwide (Club Prophet Signature).
None of these figures says how it is counted, so read each as the description of its reach that Club Prophet or its partner gave at the time.
A course's options
Stay on Signature. Meet the June 2026 minimums and take the enhanced version as it reaches your course. Ask Club Prophet for the hardware list for your site, the date the enhanced version reaches you, and any end-of-support date for the version you run now.
Move to Club Prophet Cloud. Its page lists built-in tournament management and a branded mobile app (Club Prophet Cloud). Ask which of your records move across, what the move costs, and which of your add-ons Cloud carries.
Move to another system. Put the same questions to every vendor, and make each one show you the work live. Our demo checklist and RFP template are free, ungated and printable, and they apply to us as much as anyone.
What moving to Links Meridian involves
Data migration is free on every plan. We import your members, households, dues schedules, handicap indexes and opening balances through a staged upload, with a dry run before anything is committed and rollback if something looks wrong. Club Prophet stays live until you sign off, so staff can test the new system on your own data first.
The tee sheet and online booking are on every tier. Member billing with house accounts and statements starts at Standard, $299 a month. From Professional at $749, the same system adds the pro shop POS, the F&B POS with a kitchen display, card readers at the till, tournaments and a double-entry ledger, with QuickBooks Online sent every night.
Card payments run at standard published rates and are paid into the club's own account, with Apple Pay, Google Pay and ACH for member dues. Links Meridian does not post scores to GHIN, so golfers keep posting there as they do today.
