Tournament software

Tournament software, integrated with the platform you already use

Setup, registration, pairings, live scoring, leaderboards, handicap calculations, and prize distribution, all built in. Stroke play, match play, scrambles, best ball, modified Stableford, skins, and shotgun starts. Run flagship events without juggling three separate tools.

Tournaments are where most platforms break down. The tee sheet was built for normal play, the registration system is a separate tool, scoring is on paper, leaderboards are projected from a laptop in the clubhouse, and handicap calculations require a spreadsheet. By the time the tournament committee finishes reconciling results, half the field has already left. Links Meridian handles tournaments as a primary workflow, not a special case.

Tournament setup walks you through format, field size, fees, sponsors, and prizes in one flow. Registration uses your existing member portal and accepts payment through Stripe. Pairings can be auto-generated by handicap, by member request, by team, or built manually. Tee times for the event get blocked on the main tee sheet automatically. Staff cannot accidentally double-book over an event.

On tournament day, scoring runs on phones. Players or volunteers enter scores hole-by-hole, leaderboards update in real time on a clubhouse display or any member's portal, and handicap calculations apply automatically. When the round closes, prize distribution runs against your configured rules. Results post to Course Records, the Honours Board, season standings, and player profiles automatically.

Why it matters

The outcome for your club

Setup that takes minutes, not hours

Format, fees, field, sponsors, prizes, all configured in a single flow. Templates save common event setups for repeat use.

Registration through your portal

Members register and pay through the same portal they use for booking. No separate signup tool, no third-party payment processor.

Pairings: auto, manual, or hybrid

Pair by handicap, by member request, by team, or build the bracket by hand. Tee times block on the main sheet automatically.

Live scoring on any phone

Players or volunteers enter scores hole-by-hole. Leaderboards update in real time. No paper, no manual entry at the end.

Handicap calculations applied automatically

WHS handicap math runs automatically. Net scores, gross scores, and adjusted scores all calculated, with official federation posting built in so qualifying scores reach the national record.

Course Records auto-update

Tournament results post to Course Records, the Honours Board, season standings, and player profiles when the round closes.

Questions

Common questions

What tournament formats are supported?

Stroke play (gross and net), match play, scrambles (2-, 3-, and 4-person), best ball, modified Stableford, skins, and team formats. Custom formats can be defined for clubs with unique events.

Can we run a shotgun start?

Yes. Shotgun starts are a primary format. Pair groups, assign hole starts, and the tee sheet blocks all relevant slots automatically.

Do scores post to handicap automatically?

Yes. Tournament rounds update each player's WHS index when the round closes, and qualifying scores post automatically to the national handicap body so member indexes stay current.

Can sponsors and prizes be tracked?

Yes. Sponsors are a setup field with logo upload, sponsorship level, and contribution tracking. Prizes are configured per event with distribution rules: top three gross, top three net, longest drive, closest to pin, and any custom rule you need.

What about handicap-only events for members?

Member-only flag on the tournament setup limits registration to members. Combine with handicap range filters for events restricted by index.
