Introduce a club to Links Meridian

A fee for each club you introduce, paid once the club is live and has paid for its first three months.

The fee

The fee follows the plan the club takes and the club's country. For a club on our Professional plan we pay $750 in the United States, or £500 in the UK or Ireland. We pay it once the club you introduce has gone live and paid for its first three months, at the fee for the plan it is on then.

The fee for each plan. A club in Ireland earns the sterling amount, and a referrer in Ireland is paid it in euro.

Starter$150£100

Who can introduce a club

PGA professionals, accountants and consultants who know a golf club that is looking at its software, and anyone else who does. The fee follows the club's country: a club elsewhere, ask us before you introduce it.

We pay no fee to anyone who works for or is retained by the club, sits on its board or committee, or advises it on this choice, because a fee should never sway a club's own decision. Where a course is owned or run by a city, county or other public body, the same applies to anyone who works for or holds office in that body. Where a fee applies to a club owned or run by a public body, we disclose it in any bid or tender the club runs. We also pay no fee where the introduction is made on behalf of anyone in those positions, or where any part of the fee would pass to them. A manager, professional or member of staff introducing a different club is welcome.

The club knows about the fee

You tell the club that we pay you for the introduction, and the club's order form says that Links Meridian pays a referral fee. The fee comes from us and does not change the club's price.

Who introduced a club

Introduce only a club whose people you know and have spoken to about us. We confirm by email when we register an introduction, and we may decline to register any introduction without giving a reason. A registered introduction counts from the day we received your form. It holds for six months, and for longer while the club is in active conversation with us. If two people introduce the same club, we pay the one whose registration came first and still holds. If a registration has lapsed and someone else then brings the club to us, we ask the club who introduced it and pay that person. We pay one fee per club. If we are already in conversation with the club when you register it, we tell you within ten working days and no fee is due. Our decision on who introduced a club is final; we make it reasonably and tell you why.

How payment works

Send us the club’s name with the form below, and tell the club to expect to hear from us. Once the club is live on Links Meridian and has paid for its first three months, we pay you the fee for that club.

We pay by bank transfer within 30 days of the club paying for its first three months, or its first annual invoice. If you are in Ireland, we pay the euro equivalent of the sterling amount by SEPA transfer, at the exchange rate on the day we pay. Before we pay we ask for your bank details and postal address, an invoice if you trade as a business, and a completed Form W-9 if you are a US person. We tell you by email when the club goes live and when the fee is sent. If you have not sent us these details within six months of our asking, no fee is due.

The terms

  • You are not our agent, partner or employee. You cannot make promises for us about price, features, dates or terms; only our written proposal or order form does that.
  • Make the introduction yourself, in your own words, to people you know. Do not send bulk email, run adverts or post for us. If you recommend us in public, say that we pay you a referral fee.
  • The fee is income to you, and any tax on it is yours to report. Check that your employer, your clients or your professional body allow you to accept it. If you are VAT-registered, invoice us and add VAT.
  • We do not pay a fee, and may ask for it back, if you break these terms, give us false information, introduce a club for someone these terms exclude or share the fee with them, or are subject to sanctions, or where we reasonably believe an introduction was not made in good faith. We tell you why.
  • We can change or end the scheme at any time. An introduction already registered keeps the terms it was registered under.
  • The scheme is run by Links Meridian Limited, Belfast, Northern Ireland, and these terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland.
