BRS Golf alternative

The modern alternative to BRS Golf

BRS Golf has been a workhorse for UK and Irish clubs for years. The platform was built in a different era, and it shows. If you have outgrown the booking-only feature set, the limited member experience, or the patchwork of bolt-on tools, Links Meridian is the modern, all-in-one platform you have been looking for.

BRS Golf was a strong solution for online tee-time booking when it launched. Today, club managers tell us the same thing: it does one thing well and forces you to buy or build everything else. The member portal feels like a booking widget. The reporting is shallow. There is no real CRM, no integrated POS, no accounting, no community features, and no AI. To get a complete operation, clubs end up paying for three or four separate vendors that do not talk to each other.

Links Meridian was built to be the opposite. One platform. One login. Tee sheet, member CRM, POS, accounting, F&B, tournaments, lottery, waitlist, dynamic pricing, marketing automation, and a Digital Clubhouse member portal with Course Records, the Honours Board, season standings, and a community feed. Every module is integrated, every screen shares the same data, and every feature is included in the price.

We have written a free migration tool that imports your BRS member records, tee-sheet history, future bookings, and member preferences. We run both systems in parallel during the cutover so your members never see a disruption. The migration plan runs two to four weeks, and the 30-day free trial does not start until you go live.

There is also the cost hiding in your card terminal. BRS Payments sits at roughly 2.9% plus £0.05 on domestic cards and 4.9% on international ones, close to double a standard interchange-plus rate. On £550,000 of annual card throughput, the markup alone reaches £8,000 to £12,000 a year. Links Meridian processes through Stripe at interchange-plus with no markup of our own, which on many clubs covers the entire $749/month Professional plan and still leaves the club ahead.

Why it matters

The outcome for your club

Member experience that members notice

BRS gives your members a booking screen. Links Meridian gives them a Digital Clubhouse with Course Records, the Honours Board, season standings, awards, and a real social feed. The retention impact shows up in the first quarter.

One platform, one bill

Stop paying BRS for booking, a separate POS vendor, a separate accounting tool, and a marketing platform that does not integrate. Links Meridian replaces all of them, and the data flows in one direction.

AI built in, not bolted on

Marketing agents draft, review, and publish content. Predictive retention flags at-risk members. Dynamic pricing recommendations adjust to demand. None of this exists in BRS.

Sub-second performance

Saturday morning booking rush should not bring your platform to its knees. Links Meridian targets sub-second p95 page loads and 99.95% monthly uptime, with a real-time WebSocket layer for the tee sheet so staff see changes instantly.

Built for UK and Irish clubs

Multi-currency, multi-tax, GDPR compliant from day one. We are headquartered in Northern Ireland and understand the way clubs here actually operate, including handicap systems, competition formats, and regional tax rules.

Free migration, free parallel running

We take care of the data import. We run both systems in parallel during the transition. Your members never see an outage. Your tee-time history comes with you.

Keep your card-processing margin

BRS Payments charges around 2.9% plus £0.05 on domestic cards and 4.9% internationally, roughly double an interchange-plus rate. On £550,000 of annual throughput that markup runs to £8,000 to £12,000 a year. We process through Stripe at interchange-plus and add no markup of our own, so that money stays with the club.

Questions

Common questions

How does migration from BRS Golf work?

We export your BRS data: member records, tee-sheet history, future bookings, member preferences. We import it into Links Meridian and run both systems in parallel during cutover so your members and staff never see a disruption. Most clubs go live within two to four weeks. There is no charge for the migration itself.

Will my members keep their existing tee times after migration?

Yes. We import all future bookings into Links Meridian before cutover, and members log in to find their existing tee times waiting for them. We also import historical bookings so your data continuity is preserved.

Can I keep my current member-facing booking URL?

Yes. You can either point your existing booking domain at Links Meridian, or host the member portal on your custom domain. Either way, your members do not have to update bookmarks.

What does Links Meridian cost compared to BRS?

Plans start at $79/month billed annually. The Standard plan ($299/month) replaces BRS Golf with a real CRM, automated billing, member portal, and the Digital Clubhouse community features. The Professional plan ($749/month) adds pro shop and F&B POS, accounting, tournaments, and marketing — replacing BRS plus your separate POS, accounting, and marketing subscriptions. Most clubs end up paying less in total than they did for BRS plus their bolt-on tools.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every plan includes a 30-day Professional-tier free trial with no credit card required. The trial does not start until your first tee time goes live, so the migration window does not eat into your evaluation period.

How much could we save by leaving BRS Payments?

BRS Payments runs at roughly 2.9% plus £0.05 on domestic cards and 4.9% on international ones. A standard interchange-plus rate is around 1.4% online, so on £550,000 of annual throughput the markup is £8,000 to £12,000 a year. We process through Stripe at interchange-plus and take no percentage of your card revenue, so most of that markup goes straight back to the club. For many clubs the payments saving alone covers the $749/month Professional plan.

What is the safest way to time a switch away from BRS?

Plan the cutover outside your peak booking window and clear of your main competition dates. We export your members, tee-sheet history, future bookings, gift cards, and payment records, then run both systems in parallel for two to three weeks while staff train on live data. Check the notice period on your BRS Payments agreement before fixing a go-live date, since that contract is separate from the booking software. When the team is confident, you cut over on a quiet weekday with our team on call.

Ready to leave BRS Golf behind?

Free migration. Parallel running. Zero downtime. Your tee times come with you.
