Lightspeed Golf alternative

The golf-native alternative to Lightspeed Golf

Lightspeed bought into golf to extend its retail POS into the course. The platform inherits a lot of retail DNA, which means the parts that overlap with retail work well, and the parts that are uniquely golf (tee sheet, lottery, tournament formats, member experience) feel less native. Links Meridian was built specifically for golf clubs.

Lightspeed Golf is a competent retail POS extended with a tee-sheet module. If your operation is mostly pro shop sales, you can make it work. The parts of running a club that are not retail (managing a tee sheet at scale, running a lottery for peak times, executing tournament formats, building a member experience that drives retention) were never the original problem the platform was solving.

Links Meridian was built for golf from the first commit. The tee sheet handles configurable formats including shotgun and crossover. The lottery system runs automated draws with waitlist fallback and member priority. The tournament module supports stroke play, match play, scrambles, and best ball with handicap calculations. The Digital Clubhouse member portal includes Course Records, the Honours Board, and a real social feed.

The other piece is integration depth. Lightspeed's tee sheet, POS, and accounting feel like separate products that share a login. Links Meridian was designed as one product with one data model, so a tee-time booking, a pro shop sale, and a charge to a member account all flow through the same system in real time. Reporting reflects the full picture without manual reconciliation.

Why it matters

The outcome for your club

Built for golf, not retail

Tee sheet, lottery, waitlist, tournament formats, handicap systems, Course Records. All native, designed by people who understand golf operations.

Member experience that retail platforms cannot match

Digital Clubhouse with community feed, Course Records, the Honours Board, season standings, awards, and badges. The member portal is a strategic differentiator, not a checkbox feature.

Single integrated data model

One platform, one database, one source of truth. A tee-time booking, a pro shop sale, and a member account charge are all the same kind of object.

Tournament management built in

Multiple formats, pairings, live scoring, leaderboards, handicap calculations, prize distribution. Lightspeed treats tournaments as an afterthought. We treat them as core.

AI marketing native to the platform

Marketing agents, predictive retention, dynamic pricing, AI revenue forecasting. Built into the same platform, not sold as separate products.

All-included pricing

Every feature in every plan. No per-module fees. No add-ons. Predictable monthly pricing that scales with your operation.

Questions

Common questions

Lightspeed has a strong retail POS. Will we lose anything by switching?

No. Links Meridian's pro shop POS supports the full retail workflow including barcode scanning, inventory tracking, vendor management, low-stock alerts, gift cards, and loyalty. The retail experience is on par with Lightspeed's, plus you gain everything that is purpose-built for golf.

Does Links Meridian handle F&B operations?

Yes. Pro shop and F&B run on the same POS. F&B includes kitchen routing, table management, course-by-course service, modifiers, split tenders, and tab management. Charge-to-account works for member operations.

How does the migration work?

We export your Lightspeed data: inventory, customers, member accounts, gift card balances, transaction history, tee-sheet records. We import it into Links Meridian and both systems run in parallel during cutover so customers never see an outage.

What about the existing Lightspeed integrations we use?

Most retail integrations are replaced by built-in Links Meridian modules. For anything that is not, we have a public REST API and webhook support. The Enterprise tier includes assistance setting up custom integrations.

Is there an SLA?

All paid plans include a 99.95% monthly uptime SLA. Professional and above include phone support during business hours. Enterprise and Portfolio include dedicated CSM support.
